Salman Khan acquitted in blackbuck poaching case

Bollywood actor Salman Khan who was accused in 1998 blackbuck poaching cases. There were 2 cases registered against him, the verdict of which has been announced today by the Rajasthan High Court. After 18 years, Salman has been announced as innocent and hereby has been set free. Salman Khan’s fans can now heave a sigh of relief as the actor has been acquitted in Chikara poaching case.


The hearing was completed in these cases in the last week of May and the decision was reserved by the high court. In case, the court maintains the lower court’s verdict, he will have to go to Jodhpur central jail once again. One of the animals was killed at Bhawad on the outskirts of Jodhpur on September 26, 1998, and the other at Ghoda Farms on September 28, 1998. At that time, they were shooting for the film “Hum Sath Sath Hain”. Salman has been lodged in Jodhpur jail earlier too. “Salman’s sister Alvira has already reached Jodhpur and is expected to meet his counsel Hastimal Saraswat later in the evening today (Sunday),” sources told IANS.
