Just how much do we love when ex-lovers come together? This week, one of the biggest news coming in from Bollywood’s stable is of Salman Khan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan coming together, albeit only on the big screen. Well no, they aren’t doing a film together but their films Race 3 and Fanney Khan are locked for Eid 2018. This is the baap of all clashes, we say! All eyes are definitely going to be on how the films perform. While Salman has a loyal fan following, Aishwarya too is a crowd puller. It remains to be seen which of these ex-lovers get more love from the audience on the opening day. Also Read - Delhi's Air Quality Satisfactory; Impact of Stubble Burning May 'Increase Rapidly' From Oct 27
Talking about Race 3, the film went on floors on Thursday with a mahurat shot in Mehboob Studios, Mumbai. A high voltage action scene, involving some deafening explosives were used to ensure the film starts with a bang. We also saw some pictures from the sets and met the cast of the film. Saqib Saleem, Daisy Shah, Bobby Deol and Jacqueline Fernandez have joined the cast in the third installment of this much awaited action thriller. Another Salman Khan film that made headlines was Tiger Zinda Hai. We finally saw the trailer this week and it was every bit impressive. The film is inspired by a true incident when Indian nurses were abducted by terror organization ISIS back in 2014. Tiger talks about the rescue operation and Katrina Kaif joins him in this mission. Salman is looking in form and Katrina too is seen impressively and effortlessly playing an action role. We cannot wait for the trailer to release. While we wait for Tiger Zinda Hai to hit screens on December 22, the fate of another December release, Padmavati, hangs in balance. Various outfits have been demanding a ban on the film, claiming that the director Sanjay Leela Bhansali has distorted historical facts. Protests are being held in various parts of Gujarat, Maharashtra and Rajasthan to ensure that the film doesn’t see the light of day. Slated for a December 1 release, the film is yet to get certified by the CBFC. While Supreme Court has rejected plea for a ban on the film, it has asked the board to take an independent view. But now, with a CBFC member demanding a trail against Bhansali for distorting facts, we don’t know what fate the film will meet.
Meanwhile, Delhi Smog and the unfavourable conditions have forced Varun Dhawan to wrap up the first schedule of October much before time and return to Mumbai. The smog had an adverse effect on his health and we could sense that in the video that he posted while commuting on the Delhi expressway, giving us an update about the condition in the capital. Arjun Kapoor and Parineeti Chopra, who are in the midst of the first schedule of Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraar, also tweeted about the worsening smog condition and urged fans to be more responsible and rethink. We hear that they might also go in for an early wrap up.
Amid the health scare, a happy news that caught our attention was about Sonam Kapoor impending engagement with rumoured beau Anand Ahuja. We hear that the actress is all set to take her relationship to the next level come March-April 2018 and follow it up with the marriage late next year. Well, we were excited and so tried to find out more about this from Sonam herself. Filming for Veere Di Wedding with her girls, including Kareena Kapoor Khan, on a 10-day Phuket schedule, the actress gave us the sweetest reply.
Well, Bollywood news this week was quite a mixed bag of the good, bad and ugly! Let’s hope that the next week is better and all the roadblocks that our various films are facing are cleared. Also coming up next week is the trailer of Fukrey Returns. The posters and motion posters released this week and the team of Fukreys promise to bring us a wilder, crazier and bizarre-er laugh riot.
