Salman Khan Arms Act case: Actor’s plea for witness re-examination dismissed

In a major setback to Salman Khan, the Jodhpur Session Court has rejected Salman’s plea to re-examination of witnesses in the illegal possession and use of arms case.

In a major setback to Salman Khan, the Jodhpur Session Court has rejected Salman’s plea to re-examination of witnesses in the illegal possession and use of arms case. Salman Khan had sought the re-examination of five witnesses but the District Judge has refused to accept his appeal. The public prosecution took strong objection against Salman Khan’s plea to re-examine the witnesses and said that the defence is trying to delay the verdict. During the shooting of a movie Hum Saath Saath Hain, Salman Khan along with few Bollywood stars allegedly poached blackbucks on the midnight of Oct 1-2, 1998. Two blackbucks, a protected animal under the Wildlife Protection Act, were found dead on the outskirts of Kankani village near Jodhpur. The Dabanng Khan is also accused of carrying and using illegal arms. He is also alleged to have been carrying arms with an expired license.

Recently, Salman Khan was given bail in hit-and-run case. The Bombay High Court suspended the verdict of Session Court that has convicted the actor in the case.
