Former Bollywood actress Pooja Dadwal, who once co-starred with with Salman Khan in 1995 film Veergati, is battling with Tuberculosis alone at a hospital in Mumbai, reports suggested. Repotedly, the actress, who had tried reaching out to reach Salman Khan for financial aid as she had no money for her treatment, sought ‘Sultan’ star’s help.
When Salman Khan was asked about it during the Dabangg tour press conference in Pune, the actor said that help has reached Dadwal. Talking about the former actress’ health condition, Salman said, “I just heard about it, and are trying help our as much as we can. Our team is already on to it and taking care of it. I didn’t know she was going through a difficult phase like this. I think she will be ok.”
Pooja, who was romantically paired opposite Salman’s brother-in-law Atul Agnihotri in the action film and also reportedly acted in ‘Inteqam’, ‘Hindustan’ and ‘Dabdaba’, claimed she is penniless and has been abandoned by her family in her difficult times. Reportedly, Pooja has been hospitalised in Shivdi Hospital in Mumbai since 15 days.
She further added, “I have been admitted to this hospital for the last 15 days. I have been doing casino management in Goa for the last several years. I have no money at all, I depend on others for even a cup of tea.” However, the actress sought help from the Superstar, who reportedly said, “I am trying to help Pooja as much as I can. My step-mother Helen is taking care of Pooja.” Recently, Bhojpuri star and politician Ravi Kishan too had stepped forward to help Pooja Dadwal. Reportedly, he sent his colleague with money and fruits for the actress. That’s really a sweet gesture, isn’t it?
