Salman Khan, who is currently busy with quite a few projects, had recently (on Thursday) made an appearance at the Jodhpur Court to attend a hearing in the blackbuck poaching case. However, a Punjab Based gangster, who is a student leader-turned-gangster, Lawrence Bishnoi, on Friday, issued a death threat to Bollywood’s Superstar; he has threatened to kill Salman Khan in Jodhpur. For the uninitiated, the actor was accused of poaching a black-buck while shooting for the movie, Hum Sath Sath Hain in 1998. Along with Salman, Sonali Bendre, Saif Ali Khan and Tabu too were accused of poaching blackbucks during the shoot of their film in Jodhpur. Reportedly, two of these endangered species, those are protected under the Wildlife Protection Act, had been killed on the outskirts of Kankani village near Jodhpur. Bishnoi’s death threat to Salman could be linked with the black buck killing case of 1998. Since it was the Bishnoi community, who had brought up the blackbuck hunting case to light, and ever since the community considers the actor ‘villain’. While Lawrence Bishnoi, who has more than 20 cases of attempt to murder, carjacking, extortion, snatching and under Arms Act in Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, and Rajasthan, was being produced in the court following his arrest on charges of terrorising traders and extorting them, Bishnoi told media persons, “Salman Khan will be killed here, in Jodhpur… Then he will come to know about our real identity,” adding that, “Now, if police want me to do some major crime, I shall kill Salman Khan and that too in Jodhpur.” Also Read - Blackbuck Poaching Case: Salman Khan Fails to Appear Before Jodhpur Court, Next Hearing on December 19
