Bollywood singer Abhijeet Bhattacharya tried to be in the limelight after a Mumbai sessions court convicted actor Salman Khan in his hit-and-run case. The singer was seen passing insane comments at the dead victim of the accident, who was a pavement dweller. Abhijeet called the deceased a kutta (dog) and urged the film fraternity to stand in support of the Bollywood actor. Abhijeet’s series of tweets have already landed him in trouble. A first information report (FIR) has been filed against the singer for passing lewd comments on pavement dwellers and abusing them. Moreover, actress Sonakshi Sinha, who was launched by Salman Khan in Bollywood, slammed Abhijeet for tagging her in all his tweets. Veteran actor Rishi Kapoor has also called Abhijeet an ‘idiot’ for his tweets in support of Salman. Sonakshi was infuriated and asked Abhijeet not to tag her in such lame tweets. The actress was one of the celebrities who had earlier expressed grief on Salman Khan’s court verdict that gave him five years in prison. She first tweeted, “Terrible news. Dnt knw wht to say except tht will stand by @BeingSalmanKhan no matter what. Hes a good man and no 1 can tk tht away frm him.”

Abhijeet’s insane tweet frenzy has attracted a lot of flak from the media. He was abusing the pavement dwellers, holding them responsible for the man’s death. The singer’s tweets imply that footpaths are meant for driving vehicles and not walking, and that people sleeping on them are ought to be killed!

Sonakshi, known for her no-nonsense attitude, gave an apt reply to the singer on her microblogging account. Her tweet says, “I support my friend but i would never support such insensitive and negative talk. Please dont tag me in ur tweets @abhijeetsinger sir.”

Rishi Kapoor openly condemed Abhijeet’s tweets, saying, “Ashamed of Abhijit the singer and some Ejaz Khan. Bunch of idiots and non starters. How does Times Now get these losers on Prime Time.”

Bigg Boss 7 contestant Ajaz Khan also questioned the Indian law for convicting Salman for an accident while ignoring the help he extended to others. Rishi Kapoor found his posts illogical too and referred to him as the Ek Tha Tiger actor’s chamcha. Later, he explained, “Sorry to say but only wannabe Chamchas of Salman siding him with ridiculous support.Hum bhi well wishers hain but give logical explanations”. Here are his tweets:

Looks like Rishi Kapoor’s tweets were misunderstood and hence he decided to explain what he meant by ‘Chamchas’. His recent tweet says, “My saying Chamchas was for Abhijeets inhuman comment and Ejaaz saying about the law.People misunderstood me.I said am with Salman earlier”.

Well, everyone is keen to show that they are with Salman at this time of crisis. However, some people are so overwhelmed with the thought of Salman going to jail that they don’t mind making illogical statements just to express their support towards the Bollywood actor.
