The last few days were hard not just on Salman Khan but on his legion of fans who were shell shocked with the superstar being sentenced to a 5-year imprisonment along with a fine of Rs 10,000, following his conviction in the 1998 blackbuck poaching case. Ever since the verdict came out (ie on April 5) the actor has been locked in at the Central Jail of Jodhpur for two nights as his lawyers tried hard to get him out on bail. Well, the bail was sanctioned by the Session’s Court judge on April 7, and soon thereafter Salman’s fans gathered outside the court to cheer his victory. Within an hour of the bail, the actor was let out of the jail. He boarded the charter plane as soon as he was out for Mumbai. Within hours of him landing in the city along with sisters, Alvira Agnihotri and Arpita Khan Sharma, the trio headed to his Galaxy Apartments in Bandra. After meeting his parents, the 52-year-old superstar headed to the terrace to wave at scores of his fans gathered outside the building. He was grateful to them and their prayers. Perhapa that’s why he took to Twitter to write ab emotional message to his fans, thanking them for their love and support through the difficult time. He wrote, “Tears of gratitude . To all my loved ones who are with me and never lost hope . Thank you for being there with all the love and support . God Bless . (sic)” It goes without saying that Salman has been overwhelmed with all the love coming his way. As soon as he greeted his fans on Sunday, his industry friends which include, Katrina Kaif, Daisy Shah, Malaika Arora, Varun Dhawan, Mahesh Manjrekar, Saqib Saleem, Amrita Arora and others thronged in great numbers to meet the actor. However, one can’t help but take note that Salman’s relief is only temporary as the court order states that he cannot leave the country without any permission. Needless to say, the Bishnoi community who filed the case in the first place are not too happy with his early bail. Word has it that they plan on moving the Rajasthan High Court next. The community’s lawyer, Mahipal Bishnoi also told News18 that the actor will have to be present on May 7 for his next hearing.
