Los Angeles, June 26: Actress Sandra Bullock says she decided to do “Minions”, a spin-off of the “Despicable Me” series, for her five-year-old son. It’s been 17 years since Bullock last starred in an animated film, lending her voice to Moses’ sister Miriam in “The Prince of Egypt”. Asked about her decision to be a part of “Minions”, Bullock said: “My son.”
“I wanted to do something that he could see, that I was in,” added Bullock, who has an adopted son called Louis, reports bbc.com. She gushes that her son loves physical humour and animation, and because she loves to hear him laugh, joining “Minions” was a no-brainer.
Actress Sandra Bullock says nothing makes her “happier” than making her five-year-old adopted son Louis laugh. The 50-year-old actress, who adopted 5-year-old Louis in 2010 shortly after she split from her ex-husband Jesse James, says nothing makes her happier than seeing the youngster crack up over her antics on the big screen, reports femalefirst.co.uk.

Bullock, who voices Scarlett Overkill in the new “Despicable Me” spin-off “Minions”, also hopes her son finds her latest offering entertaining and doesn’t mind that he has no idea she is in the movie. “I wanted to make something my son could see and watch and enjoy, even though he doesn’t know what I do and he doesn’t know it’s me — I can sit in the theatre and watch him. “Nothing makes me happier than hearing that boy laugh, (by) physical humour and animation… hopefully I’ll be able to do that,” she told the Belfast Telegraph newspaper.
