Last weekend has been disturbing (rather traumatic) for Sanjay Leela Bhansali after a few goons treaded on to the Padmavati sets in Jaipur and created a hulabaloo. They created ruckus over the claim that Bhansali was defaming the image of their royal queen Padmavati(played by Deepika Padukone) by showing her intimate with the Moghul emperor Alauddin Khilji in a dream sequence in the film. On the contrary, the filmmaker refused all the claims saying that he had made a thorough research on the film and will not do anything to harm anyone’s religious sentiments. But the activists didn’t want to listen to any excuse and assaulted Sanjay Leela Bhansali on the sets of the film. Also Read - Alia Bhatt Wraps Up Shooting of Gangubai Kathiawadi, Reveals It Was Her Dream To Be Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Actor

In his latest tweet, Yadav said, “I invite Bollywood to come and shoot in historical, glorified, culturally rich & developing Bihar. Will extend all sorts of help all the way. He also commented on a tweet where someone was asking Amitabh Bachchan to speak up an voice his opinion on the injustice happened to Sanjay Leela Bhansali. He says, “Don’t forget, incident took place in BJP ruled state.

Tejaswi’s father, Lalu Prasad Yadav, also came forward to voice his opinion over this ‘unfortunate incident’. He says if such incident would have taken place in Bihar than pro-BJP media would have not left a single chance to defame Bihar. Since it took place in a Bharatiya Janata Party-ruled state, the media is maintaining silence. Few members of the Rajput Karni Sena barged on to the sets of Padmavati in Jaipur claiming that the movie has distorted facts about the Rajput queen Padmavati. They wanted Bhansali to change the name of the film and let them watch the film before release if they want to resume shooting the movie. Meanwhile, Bhansali was asked to be cautious by Hindu Janajagruti Samiti about not “twisting” history in the name of entertainment. Ramesh Shinde, the spokesperson of Hindu Janajagruti Samiti said to IANS, “Filmmakers and actors should take lessons from the assault on Sanjay Leela Bhansali. It’s the Indians who make the film fraternity earn their money. They cannot be allowed to hurt the sentiments of people and twist the glorious past of Hindus in the name of cinema.
