Satyamev Jayate Episode 4: What was Salman Khan doing on Aamir Khan’s show on Tuberculosis

The serious issue of tuberculosis got celebrity push when Satyamev Jayate host Aamir Khan’s off screen friend and actor Salman Khan appeared in the October 26 episode of the show.Not known to many, Salman Khan has been giving financial assistance to TB patients referred by the TB Hospital in Sewri, Mumbai. Salman revealed that Aamir sent him a message after learning about his help to TB patients. Aamir said that after not getting any response from Salman, he personally went and invited him to the show. Salman said his grandmother too was a TB patient and she underwent treatment at Nainital. He shared with the audience how she failed to identify her own son (Salim Khan) after she returned from her treatment.

Towards the end of the show, Aamir got emotional and said that the research behind the show has been a touching one. There has been a lot of study involved behind each show which revealed a lot of startling data which has been disturbing for the actor. He said that he may take a two year break from the show to mentally revive himself. He said that his team also needs a break as they are all mentally disturbed after witnessing first hand information.

 It was for the first time that the two actors appeared together on Satyamev Jayate. So far Aamir Khan has not appeared on Bigg Boss which Salman Khan hosts. Salman did promote Aamir Khan’s last release Dhoom 3 when he wore the hat similar to Aamir’s character in the movie.
