Secret Superstar Box Office Collection: Aamir Khan- Zaira Wasim’s Film Has A Successful Debut In Hong Kong, Rakes In HK$ 458K Through Paid Preview Shows

The film may not have been that successful in India, but it is quite a hit in China and now in HongKong

Aamir Khan and Zaira Wasim‘s Secret Superstar may not have been that successful at the Indian Box Office, but it has certainly been a humongous hit abroad, particularly in China. The inspirational movie broke records in the Chinese maket, raking in almost Rs 770 crore. However looks like it’s not over yet. Secret Superstar debuted in Hong Kong on April 31 and in the first selected paid previews, started off on a great note. The movie has earned in HK$ 458K, which is exceptional given the few selected screens it was showcased in. Needless to say, people have loved the film so once it releases on a full fledged level, it will earn a huge amount through the Hong Kong market as well.

Speaking about the film’s paid previews and collections in HongKong, senior film critic and trade analyst, Taran Adarsh took to Twitter to reveal, “After a GLORIOUS RUN in China, #SecretSuperstar is scheduled for release in Hong Kong. Currently, *previews* are being held there and the numbers from *select screenings* are SUPERB. Fri HK$ 239,195. Sat HK$ 219,683. Total: HK$ 458,878 [Rs 38.09 lakhs]. @Rentrak.” Once the movie hits screens in the country in a full fledged manner, we’re certain that it will earn a huge amount in this country as well. Given that Dangal performed well in Hong Kong, expect Secret Superstar to earn a moolah too.

Going by the way Dangal has performed in Hong Kong and China, one thing is certain, Aamir Khan has quite a fan following in these two countries. We are sure that inspirational story of a young girl is sure to attract the audience in huge numbers to watch the film. While the initial shows in Hong Kong have assisted in developing sufficient publicity for Secret Superstar, would it help the film to earn more than Rs 100 crore in the country, remains to be seen.
