Shaadi Mein Zaroor Aana brings together Rajkummar Rao (Satyendra Mishra) and Kriti Kharbanda (Aarti Shukla) together on screen for the first time in Ratnaa Sinha’s directorial. So when their parents try to set them up in an arranged marriage setup, the two take their time in getting to know one another, before falling head over heels in love and reaching an agreement on walking the aisle. But just when you reach a conclusion that the film will be this sweet tale of a simple, love story in a small town, the trailer presents a twist, taking you by surprise. The runaway bride and the jilted lover come face-to-face many years later in a different city and situation. He is the IAS officer, in charge of an investigation where she, a PCS officer, is framed. As Rajkummar says in one of the scenes in the Shaadi Mein Zaroor Aana trailer, “Everything is fair in love and war. Love is over, now war begins.” The song, “thukra ke mera pyaar, mera inteqaam dekhegi” further gives us a hint into what we can expect. Watch the trailer below:
