Shah Rukh Khan’s latest offering at box office Fan has received mixed reviews from the critics. The movie was immensely loved by the viewers and has made good numbers in the first week itself. But the second week turned out to be rather shocking for the film as the box office numbers have started to decline. Fan had a great start at the box office but as days passed by the numbers started to fall. Looks like the movie didn’t get positive word of mouth. The Shah Rukh Khan starrer had to face tough competition from Jon Favreau’s animation movie The Jungle Book. The live 3D-fantasy film ate into SRK’s share this time.
Bollywood ‘s Trade Analyst Taran Adarsh posted on his Twitter profile that, “ #Fan decline in biz… Weekend 1: ₹ 52.35 cr Weekend 2: ₹ 7.75 cr Decline in biz: 85.20% India biz.”

The first week was quite dull for the film and it was assumed that by Week 2 the movie would pick up. However, things are not turning up positive for Fan anymore. It is indeed surprising that the Maneesh Sharma film had such an ill fate this time. Despite starring King Khan in the lead role, Fan failed to survive at the box office with descent numbers. While it was quite common for a Shah Rukh Khan film to make Rs 100 crore in few weeks, his latest offering seems to be lagging behind in the race.
