The King of Bollywood is back on the small screen with a new television show India Poochega Sabse Shaana Kaun?. We have seen Shah Rukh Khan employing his charm to cast a spell on viewers with his appearance as a small screen TV host. SRK’s Kya Aap Paanchvi Paas Se Tez Hain? kicked off on a high note, years back. And now fans have high expectations from the show. We know now that SRK will impress us yet gain with the charm that only he can generate. Shah Rukh Khan clears the air; says neither 17-year-old nor 17 stars! Before that, SRK had replaced none other than Amitabh Bachchan and hosted Kaun Banega Crorepati, quite successfully. right after Big B took a break from the quiz show. SRK also hosted Zor Ka Jhatka: Total Wipeout but that show did not excatly get us excited. But unlike that show the new one on & TV looks hatke and promsing. Many Bollywood celebs have tried their luck in the telly world as hosts. Apart from SRK and Bachchan, Mr Perfectionist Aamir Khan, Salman Khan, Govinda, Shilpa Shetty, Arshad Warsi, Juhi Chawla, Anupam Kher and several others have hosted shows. Filmmaker Farah Khan is the latest to join the bandwagon of celebrities who are hosting shows on television just to connect with the masses on a wider scale.

We wonder if the upcoming show India Poochega – Sabse Shaana Kaun? will be as exciting as Shah Rukh’s previous television endevours a host. Not that the Happy New Year star is a bad host, but some stars should just play it with much innovation, we feel. Shah Rukh excelled as a TV actor in Fauji and Circus before he became a movie star. And we are sure that he will rule the boob tube with his unparalleled charisma and spontaneity.

India Poochega – Sabse Shaana Kaun? has been adapted from an international show Who’s Asking where the common man will don the role of an ‘asker’ as well as a ‘contestant’. Produced by Siddhartha Basu, this new age game show on &TV is all set to change the dynamics of non-fiction formats on Indian television. SRK previously hosted ‘Zor Ka Jhatka: Total Wipeout’, ‘Kya Aap Paanchvi Pass Se Tez Hain’ and one season of ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati’.
