Shahid Kapoor Puts his Babymoon With Wife Mira and Daughter Misha on Hold Because Of Batti Gul Meter Chalu?

The actor was supposed to take off on a babymoon in the first week of June.

By now everyone knows that Shahid Kapoor and Mira Rajput are expecting their second child. The couple welcomed their adorable daughter Misha Kapoor in 2016 and by the end of this year, will have a new addition to their family. The actor was planning to take off for a babymoon with wife Mira Rajput and daughter Misha next month, however, the couple has decided to delay it courtesy Shahid’s next film Batti Gul Meter Chalu.

The shoot of Batti Gul Meter Chalu was stopped midway due to producer Prenaa Arora’s financial troubles. However, last week it was revealed that T-series head honcho Bhushan Kumar has stepped in and will now produce the Shahid Kapoor – Yami Gautam starrer and the shooting schedule will resume soon. At the moment, the actor is reworking on the shooting schedule of BGMC so that he wraps it before he begins work on the Arjun Reddy remake.

A source while talking to Mid-day about this said, “Shahid had decided to spend quality time with Mira and Misha [daughter] in June before he begins training for Arjun Reddy. But now that the Batti Gul schedule is likely to run into June, he has called off the trip. He wants to ensure that his commitment to this film doesn’t spill over to that of Arjun Reddy, the shoot of which is lined up for July.”

For the Arjun Reddy remake, Shahid will undergo workshops with behavioural experts so gets into the role of an alcoholic with anger management issues. He will also undergo MMA training as he needs to beef up for his look in the film. The source while talking about this told the tabloid, “Shahid will be filming Batti Gul in the mornings. His evenings will be dedicated to MMA training for Sandeep Vanga’s film. He needs to beef up for the remake. Besides undergoing dietary changes, he will alter his fitness regimen to include weight training.”
