Shailesh R Singh Replaces Aishwarya Rai Bachchan Due To Attitude Issues?

Ever since recent reports that Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan will team up for a film, ardent fans have been eagerly awaiting to see the real-life couple on-screen. Reportedly, the couple was in talks to star in Shailesh R Singh’s next. It was also revealed the Aishwarya and Abhishek will be essaying married IPS officers. However, the recent reports suggested that the director Shailesh is on the hunt for a new actor as Aishwarya had kept the team waiting for two months. According to Mid-Day, “Aishwarya had promised to meet the director but at the last-minute, she canceled the appointment and since Shailesh is tired of waiting for the actress to confirm, he is in search of another cast.

Well, today, Shailesh R Singh took to Twitter to rubbish the rumours. The filmmaker tagged Mid-Day and wrote, “Dear @mid_day we had a pleasant meeting with Aishwarya Rai Bachchan few days back. Plz don’t report a baseless info.

In a statement to an online entertainment portal, an industry insider revealed, “The film is based against the backdrop of Uttar Pradesh politics, based on a true story and about two IPS officers, who are husband and wife. It’s their love story and journey. Abhishek has liked the story and given his nod to the film though he is yet to sign the contract. Aishwarya Rai has been approached for the female lead and will be hearing a story narration soon.”

Also, earlier in an interview, the director Shailesh spoke about the upcoming film, he told the portal, “Yes, I have approached Abhishek and he has shown interest in the film. We are discussing with Aishwarya’s team and will be giving her a narration soon. She has conveyed to us that she’s interested in meeting us and hearing the story. I am planning to give Aishwarya a narration soon. I would definitely love to make a film with Abhishek. I had wanted to work with Abhishek for a long time but we got a good story now.”

He further added, “Abhishek and I are both excited about the story. He is a superb human being and a great actor. The subject is strong and befitting his persona. I would love to work with Aishwarya in this film too as she suits the role. We cast actors in films keeping in perspective whether the roles suit them or not. I like to cast the actor according to the character.”
