The whole country rejoiced after DD announced that they will be will returning with the iconic Ramayan and Mahabharat on TV and now Mukesh Khanna has revealed that he has been working on a contemporary yet rooted sequel to the iconic superhero show Shaktimaan. Soon after several fans demanded that Shaktimaan should also be telecast on television, Mukesh Khanna, in a chat with Bombay Times, revealed that he has been working on the sequel of the superhero show for the past 3 years. He also revealed that the reason he had decided to make a sequel was because of everyone’s curiosity about what happens in Shaktimaan’s life. Talking about the same, Mukesh Khanna said, “For the last three years, we have been working towards bringing out the second edition of Shaktimaan, which is contemporary, but rooted in our values. We were working on the sequel because people wanted to know, aage kya hua. I feel whenever we return to work after this crisis, I will be in a better position to bring out the second part because the demand for it is higher than ever before.”

Khanna also revealed that once the coronavirus outbreak is prevented, he will begin work on a great pace with the show as he knows that the demand is very high.

Shaktimaan was one of the most loved shows of the 90s. Every morning and evening, the 90s kids used to sit glued to their TV screens to watch their favourite superhero save the world.

After Mahabharat and Ramayan getting back on TV, the news of Shaktimaan’s sequel is surely one of the best news especially for the 90s kids.
