The latest controversy around ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’ and ‘Shivaay’ is slowly brewing up and it is even grabbing several eyeballs. Karan Johar has maintained a pin-drop silence on the issue, but at a recent event, the director spoke his heart out in front of the media. While talking to Express Adda, Karan decided to speak openly about the hottest controversy but also chose to stay dignified by not commenting on the entire issue. Recently, filmmaker Prakash Jha has supported actor-filmmaker Ajay Devgn and has even demanded that Karan Johar be probed for allegedly paying Kamaal R Khan. He was quoted saying, “I’m not surprised Ajay Devgn. They are a scared lot. Manipulation their only means of survival. But Shiva is with you.” Prakash Jha and Ajay worked together in several movies including Raajneeti, Satyagraha and Gangaajal.
As far as the controversy is concerned, Bollywood actor Ajay Devgn has demanded a probe over the case and it is said that director Karan Johar allegedly paid Kamaal R Khan Rs 25 lakh to tweet positive about Karan’s next film Ae Dil Hai Mushkil and speak bad about Ajay’s upcoming film ‘Shivaay’ which will clash with Karan’s ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’.
To which the director Karan response clearly showcased that he does not want to embroil in this controversy. Yesterday, Kamaal R Khan (KRK) held a press conference in Mumbai and clarified in front of the media. KRK clearly denied taking money from Karan Johar and said Ajay Devgn is simply using his name to target Karan Johar and nothing else. “I say thanks to Ajay Devgn and Kumar Mangat for giving me licence to destroy their… Film #Shivaay..” he tweeted. Ajay Devgn further issued a new statement in regard to KRK’s new clarification and was quoted saying, “We have only made you aware of what KRK has said. KRK is contradicting himself in explanations about what he has said in the recording and what we all have just heard in his postured press conference”.

In this shocking conversation KRK confessed saying he has to speak positive things about Ae Dil Hai Mushkil as he has allegedly received Rs 25 lakh from the filmmaker. Bollywood actor Ajay immediately asked his business associate Kumar Mangat to call KRK to find out the reason behind the controversy to which a statement has been recorded and has been sent out in the media. It seems Ajay is extremely upset with the entire controversy which is gaining lot of attention is demanding an investigation to expose the truth.
The statement reads: “I have been a part of the Indian film industry for the past 25 years and have been associated with over 100 films. My father was a professional action director and I have an emotional connection with this industry. It therefore pains me to see that people like Kamaal R Khan are holding the film industry to ransom by spreading negativity about films to extort money from producers. It is very sad that people from our own industry are supporting such elements and spoiling the ethos of the film industry. I would strongly demand that this be thoroughly investigated by competent authorities to clarify if Karan Johar was indeed involved in this,” his statement further reads.
Just a few days back, actor Ajay shared an audio clip on his social media – Twitter in which Kamaal R Khan was saying that he is favoring Karan. Ajay said in a statement on Friday: “We have only made you aware of what KRK has said. He is contradicting himself in explanations about what he has said in the recording and what we all have just heard in his postured press conference.”
“He has not denied that it was his voice in the recording and he is now making excuses and contradicting himself. Where is the sanity here? You have heard what I have heard. It is upto you all to decide. It’s his word against his own word,” he added.
