Renowned singers Anup Jalota, Shankar Mahadevan and Hariharan are set to headline the upcoming Triveni concert, taking place in Ahmedabad, Delhi and Indore this December. The singers have reportedly denied actors Nora Fatehi and Tamannaah Bhatia’s performances at the event. The actresses who have been ruling hearts with their infectious charm and groovy dance numbers are said no to perform at their concert.
Event organiser Manish Harishankar, proposed the idea of Nora and Tamannaah as guest performers for the show. However, Anup Jalota, Shankar Mahadevan and Hariharan rejected this idea. According to HT media, a source revealed the actual reason reason behind their refusal. “When organiser Manish Harishankar from MH Films proposed including Bollywood actors such as Nora Fatehi and Tamannaah Bhatia as guest performers, the trio firmly declined. In a discussion with Shankar and Hariharan, the singers emphasised that the essence of Triveni lies in its dedication to presenting the depth and grandeur of Indian music. They added that the addition of a Bollywood guest would detract from the concert’s artistic vision.”
“Shankar, Hariharan, and Anup shared that if there were to be a guest appearance, it should be by a fellow singer who aligns with the spirit of the event, rather than an actor. They intended to ensure that the focus remains on music.” added the source. Addressing the discussions, Manish confirmed, “Yes, I did connect with Nora Fatehi and Tamannaah’s manager for dates and cost for performance.”
Meanwhile, on the professional front, Tamannaah Bhatia was recently seen in the Netflix show, Sikandar Ka Muqaddar, a heist thriller streaming on Netflix since November 29. Directed by Neeraj Panday, The film also features Avinash Tiwary, Jimmy Shergill, Divya Dutta and Zoya Afroz in pivotal roles. Nora Fatehi, on the other hand, appeared in Madgaon Express alongside Divyenndu, Avinash Tiwary and Kunal Khemmu. She also made her Telugu debut alongside Varun Tej and Meenakshi Chaudhary.
