One such example of this is Shraddha Kapoor, despite maintaining a strong fan base and giving so many blockbusters, rumours have continued to swirl around her professional choices, with some suggesting that she is not getting enough work compared to her contemporaries. Now, her father, veteran actor Shakti Kapoor, has finally addressed these claims and set the record straight.

Shakti Kapoor On Shraddha’s Personality

Talking about Shraddha’s personality, Shakti Kapoor spoke about their father-daughter bond. He said, “Bahut ziddi hai… She is very stubborn and does what her heart says. She has certain ethics and follows them strictly…”

He went on to add, “We share a great relationship. Sometimes we fight, sometimes we plan holidays, sometimes we discuss films. I am very proud of her, her performances are outstanding. She is a very fine actor.”

Addressing Comparisons With Alia Bhatt And Ananya Panday

During his recent appearance on the podcast, he spoke about how Shraddha Kapoor is selective with her work. During the conversation, he was asked about claims suggesting that Shraddha has received fewer opportunities compared to peers like Alia Bhatt and Ananya Panday.

Responding to the comparison, Shakti dismissed the narrative, and said, “Woh picturein hi kam karti hai. Best karti hai. Par paisa zyada leti hai. In sabse paisa leti hai. She does just one or two films a year. (She does very few films. She picks the best films, and charges more than all these people).”

He further clarified that Shraddha consciously limits her workload and is not struggling for roles.

What’s Next For Shraddha Kapoor

On the work front, Shraddha was last seen in the horror-comedy Stree 2 alongside Rajkummar Rao, which went on to become a blockbuster. She also recently lent her voice to the character Judy Hopps in the Hindi version of Zootopia 2.

Speaking of her future work, Shraddha has several interesting projects lined up across genres. She is believed to star in Pahadpangira, the prequel to Tumbbad, and is also attached to the supernatural drama Naagin. The actor is also slated to appear in Stree 3 and Bhediya 2. Additionally, Shraddha is expected to be seen in Etha, a biographical drama based on the life of celebrated Marathi folk artist Vithabai Narayangaonkar.
