Mumbai: Tamil actor and singer Shruti Haasan recently grabbed the headlines. Shruti Haasan who was in a long-term relationship with Santanu Hazarika. However several media agencies have reported that the couple had allegedly parted ways after agreeing over mutual consent. Now a video of Kamal Haasan’s daughter has made several rounds on social media where she has confirmed breaking up her long-term relationship with Santanu. Read on.

On May 23, Shruti Haasan went live on Instagram where she hosted an Ask Me Anything (AMA) session. Shruti answered several questions during the AMA session, but what caught the attention of the users when an unknown user asked about her relationship status. The user questioned, ‘single or committed’. To this, the Salaar actress replied, “I don’t enjoy answering these questions, but, I am entirely single and willing to mingle. Only working and enjoying my life. Enough? (sic).”

Earlier, it was speculated that Shruti and Santanu might have parted their ways. The couple also unfollowed each other on social media. It is worth noting that, Shruti Haasan and Santanu Hazarika were seeing each other during the Covid-19 pandemic time. The couple were often seen displaying their love for each other on social media. Shruti and Santanu became popular on social media as they were often seen working out and jamming sessions together as he lived in Shruti’s home located in Mumbai.

Talking with India Today, Shruti Haasan confirmed parting ways with her bf. Shruti added, “Santanu and I are the best of friends, who also happen to be together. Sometimes, we do read comments because somebody will point in the direction of funny comments. I feel I have evolved into being a calmer and kinder person because of Santanu. Those are the traits I try to emulate from the person. He is very kind, calm, and thoughtful. So, I am learning to be like that as these are the qualities I admire very much in him (sic).”

Shruti was last seen in the Pan-India film Salaar: The Ceasefire which featured popular actors like Prabhas and Prithviraj Sukumaran in lead roles. Shruti will be also seen in the second installation of Salaar: Part 2 – Shouryanga Parvam’ and ‘Chennai Story’. Apart from these Shruti will be seen in project ‘Dacoit’ as well.
