As if his tweets were not enough to keep him in thick of major controversies, singer Abhijeet Bhattacharya now makes the news for allegedly molesting 34-year-old. This is not the first time the man has courted controversy for this reason. Bhattacharya does not acquire a ‘gentleman’s’ reputation in the industry, says a source. It so happened happened that, sources inform us, at the Lokhandwala Durga Pandal in Mumbai last night Bhattacharya molested a woman. Abhijeet is one of the key organizers of the event for the ongoing Dandiya festivities. The incident happened when when singer Kailash Kher was performing live. That’s when a 34-year-old resident of Four Bungalows of Mumbai, who was enjoying the show, alleged she felt Abhijeet touching her inappropriately.
What was even more shocking was that after being confronted for what he did, the 53-year-old singer started shouting back as a reverse tactics, confirms a source who did not wish to be named. The drama did not end there as Bhattacharya retaliated strongly and even started abusing the lady in full public view, reports suggest. The lady was then taken into the orgainzer’s office by a volunteer, reports claim, where Abhijeet threatened her.
an FIR had been registered against the singer under Section 354 A (Molestation) 506 and 34 of the IPC on the basis of the victim’s complaint.
