According to box office figures by Saclink, the film made Rs 7.86 crore on Saturday afternoon, with its total collection that now stands at Rs 18.56 crore. The film witnessed a great jump on Saturday and with more footfalls expecting on Sunday too.

Comparing to Aamir Khan’s previous blockbusters, Sitaare Zameen Par continues to roar high with its Day 2 box office performance. His 2006 superhit release Fanaa, co-starring Kajol had a total two-day collection of Rs 8.3 crore. Similarly, His cult classic Lagaan, directed by Ashutosh Gowariker, earned Rs 2.20 crore in its initial two days. Moreover, Rang De Basanti, released in 2006 had estimated two-day collection of Rs 10-12 crore at the box office.
