Skand Sanjeev Thakur opens up on learnings he had from Ram Kapoor and Yami Gautam. The actor has featured in Article 370 and Khalbali Records.

Actor Skand Thakur is steadily gaining fame in the entertainment industry. Thakur, a versatile actor, is carving a path for himself with his dedication, talent, and ability to portray a wide range of characters. While Skand started his acting journey with minor roles, it did not take him long to climb the ladder of success and gain the recognition he deserved. One of his breakthrough moments came when he collaborated with Yami Gautam in Article 370, a project that allowed him to demonstrate his acting range and depth. Working with actors such as Yami Gautam and Ram Kapoor, Skand recently shared his experience in an exclusive interview with India.com.

When asked about his experience working with Ram Kapoor and what he learned from him that he will take forward in his career, Skand replied, “Working with a seasoned actor like Ram Kapoor is truly a fantastic experience. There’s so much to learn from him, and I made it a point to observe him closely while he was on set. One of the key things I learned is that he never picks up the script once he leaves his vanity; he knows all his lines as well as yours, which speaks volumes about his professionalism and preparation.”

He further added, “He is always incredibly thorough in his approach, and his confidence is infectious—it really helps put you at ease as you work together. His presence on set creates an encouraging atmosphere, which makes it easier to explore your character. Overall, it was a wonderful experience working alongside him, and I feel fortunate to have had the opportunity.”

Skand’s performance in Article 370 was also widely praised by audiences. The movie gave him an opportunity to showcase his versatility, and his close collaboration with Yami Gautam was loved by netizens. When Skand was asked about the learnings he gained from Yami and how the dynamic between the two evolved during the shoot, he said, “Yami Ma’am is incredibly hardworking, and she was warm and supportive from day one. I spent a significant amount of time with her throughout the film, and we shared many scenes together. We also trained extensively alongside each other, which helped build our rapport.”

He also added, “Of course, there’s a level of nervousness that comes with working alongside someone with her experience and talent. But her encouragement made it easier to navigate those feelings and focus on our performance. Collaborating with her was a great experience.”

Coming back to Khalbali Records, the series has received rave reviews. The plot revolves around the cut-throat world of music labels and how a father-son duo, working in the same industry, compete fiercely against each other. Apart from Ram Kapoor and Skand Thakur, the series also features Prabh Deep and Saloni Batra in key roles. The series is available on JioCinema.
