The internet has been in overdrive ever since reports surfaced suggesting that Smriti Mandhana and Palash Muchhal’s wedding had been delayed. While the couple has remained silent on the chatter, an unexpected twist dragged an unrelated name into the conversation.
After an old flirty chat between Palash and an alleged choreographer appeared online, social media users began a frantic search to identify the woman involved. Soon, fingers started pointing toward choreographer Gulnaaz Khan, who had been part of the dance team handling the couple’s sangeet ceremony.
The speculation quickly spiralled, and by the time Gulnaaz realised what was going on, her comment section was flooded with questions and accusations.
The entire situation began when a user on X named Stutii claimed, “Female choreographer in Boscos team is Gulnaaz Khan… Strangely, Palash unfollowed her yesterday (sic).”
The mention was enough for people to jump to conclusions without verifying facts. Gulnaaz, unaware of the sudden spotlight, responded innocently to one of the comments, saying, “We Choreographed Team India Act ❤️ (sic).”
But the gossip refused to die down, pushing her to finally issue a public clarification.

In a firm and clear Instagram story, Gulnaaz addressed the floating allegations. She wrote, “I’ve noticed a lot of speculation and false claims going around about Me & My friend Nandika, so let me clear this straight. We not the person involved in this issue (sic).”
She further added,
“Just because we know someone socially or have a photo with them doesn’t mean we are connected to their personal matters. Please let’s keep things respectful and not jump to conclusions.”
Gulnaaz also urged people to understand the sensitivity of the situation and avoid spreading misinformation that harms reputations for no reason.
The frenzy began after a woman named Mary D’Costa leaked screenshots of a flirty conversation allegedly involving Palash. Mary later clarified her own identity as rumours snowballed.
In her new post, she wrote,
“There’s also been a lot of confusion about who I am. I want to clarify, I am not the choreographer, and I am not the person he cheated with… I don’t want people assuming the wrong things (sic).”
Her note made it clear that the internet had mixed up multiple narratives, dragging unrelated individuals into the mess.
As of now, neither Smriti Mandhana nor Palash Muchhal has issued any official statement addressing the alleged delay in their wedding or the viral chat.
The rumours remain unverified, and the blame game unfolding online has only added noise to an already sensitive situation.
What began as a leaked conversation has now escalated into a full-blown social media witch hunt, prompting those caught in the crossfire to publicly reclaim their side of the story.
