Sonam Kapoor is finally married to her businessman boyfriend Anand Ahuja. The two exchanged vows a few minutes ago amidst close friends and family members at Kavita Singh’s heritage bungalow in Bandra. While we got to see Anand and Sonam’s look for their big day a while ago, we now got out hands on the first picture of the newlyweds after getting hitched. And we have to say, the much-loved couple looks like a match made in heaven.
For her big day, the Neerja actress wore a red and gold embroidered lehenga by Anuradha Vakil. The actress’s final bridal look was completed with layered neckpieces, jhumkas and meaded matha patti. She did redefine royalty. On the other hand, Anand chose a beige sherwani and was seen wearing pearls and precious stones in his neck to complete his look. Sonam’s family members including Janhvi Kapoor, Khushi Kapoor, Arjun Kapoor, Anshula, daddy Anil Kapoor dressed to impress. The actress’s Veere Di Wedding co-stars Swara Bhaskar and Kareena Kapoor Khan also made their presence felt. Bebo in fact, along with Saif and her baby boy Taimur Ali Khan made heads turn at the wedding. We couldn’t get over the awesome threesome.
In the evening, the Kapoor and Ahuja families will host a star-studded reception for their friends, colleagues and family members at The Leela Mumbai. The actress is expected to wear a classy Ralph and Russo gown for the evening event. The actress will soon fly to Cannes for the much talked about Cannes Film Festival and will walk the red carpet there on May 14 and 15. The couple has decided to delay their honeymoon due to the actress’s busy schedule.
