It is not out of the ordinary for every film enthusiast to be waiting for the big event in May – the Sonam Kapoor – Anand Ahuja wedding. After months of speculations, the two finally revealed that they are getting married on the 7-8 May with all the traditional Hindu marriage ceremonies in place. So when brother Harshvardhan Kapoor met the media recently to launch the trailer of his upcoming film Bhavesh Joshi Superhero, questions about his sister’s big day were obvious. When asked about Sonam’s man-to-be Anand, Harshvardhan said he is “really happy” that his sister Sonam is getting married to Anand Ahuja, who he calls a “great guy”.
Anand is a London-based businessman, hailing from Delhi originally. Harshvardhan also revealed how everyone in the family have been busy preparing for the d-day. “I am really happy that she is getting married. Anand is a great guy. However, I have been very busy with my film ‘Bhavesh Joshi’ so I do not know much what’s going on with the preparations,” Harshvardhan revealed.
It is his sister’s wedding and being the only brother, Harshvardhan must have planned a special gift to give Sonam on her big day. When quizzed about the same, the actor said, “A hug. Really, I want to give her a lot of love and good luck. No gifts… because I am broke. Look at the kind of film I am working on, they really do not pay that well, so I really do not have anything to gift her,” he quipped.
Bhavesh Joshi Superhero is releasing on May 25 and before that, there is this big wedding coming up in the family, how will Harsh then manage his time? He said, “The whole occasion will get over by May 8. And I have enough time after that for the promotion of my film. So yes, I think I will handle everything pretty well.” India.com also learnt that Sonam plans to head to France post her shaadi and spend her honeymoon there, before attending Cannes Film Festival 2018 on the May 14 and 15.
