According to a report in Mid-day, “Former office-bearers of the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) have accused SGPC staffers of not removing Anand’s kalgi (brooch) from his turban during the ceremony in the presence of Guru Granth Sahib, which is a violation of Sikh tenets.”The former committee members have reportedly brought this to the Akal Takht’s notice and have demanded action against the SGPC members who were present at Sonam and Anand’s traditional wedding ceremony.
Well, after hearing this Anand and Sonam are certainly going to be disturbed for the couple made sure they did everything possible so things went smoothly on their big day. The fashionista is already back to work. She was at Cannes slaying it with her fashionable appearances. The actress will soon return to the country and begin with the promotions of Veere Di Wedding which hits theatres on June 1. The film also stars Kareena Kapoor Khan, Swara Bhasker and Shikha Talsania in lead roles.
