Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweet Becomes The Second Film, After Padmaavat, To Cross Rs 100 Crore Mark This Year

One of the biggest surprises of 2018 has been the film, Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety, that has not only entertained the audiences but also made new records at the Box Office. The film starring Kartik Aaryan, Nushrat Bharucha and Sunny Singh has reportedly crossed the Rs 100 core mark at the Indian box office. The film that hit screens on February 23, is clearly the underdog of the year, which has turned out to be the second film of 2018, after Padmaavat to have crossed the Rs 100 crore mark at the BO this year. The Pyaar Ka Punchnama fame filmmaker, Luv Ranjan‘s, directorial venture has amassed a total collection of Rs 100.10 crore in the country so far.

Senior film critic and trade analyst, Taran Adarsh, took to Twitter to share the latest box office figures of the film. He wrote, ““Truly UNSTOPPABLE… 💯 cr and counting… #SonuKeTituKiSweety marches into ₹ 100 cr Club… SECOND FILM to cross ₹ 100 cr mark in 2018, after #Padmaavat… [Week 4] Fri 1.27 cr, Sat 2.11 cr, Sun 2.32 cr, Mon 76 lakhs. Total: ₹ 100.10 cr. India biz… #SKTKS.” Take a look at the tweet below :

It’s indeed a matter of great pride to see that the film, which has no big star to lead it, has done so well at the Box Office, a feat that not many big budget films can pull off. Off late, good content films are being appreciated and hence doing exceptionally well at the Box Office. Besides, the director’s earlier two films were also immensely liked and appreciated by the masses. During a recent interview, the film’s actor Kartik Aryan said, “When Pyaar Ka Punchnaama released, it became the sleeper hit of 2011 and my long monologue on what women want, became a rage and I thought I had arrived. But no, God had other plans. It’s finally happening with Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety.”
