Sonu Nigam’s Azaan controversy is just attracting new-new opinion from the celebs from the tinsel town. The latest one to chip in is singer Adnan Sami. While Bollywood got divided between whether to support the singer’s tweets and or whether to disagree, Adnan has decided to take Sonu’s side on the matter! When asked about his opinion on the on-going Azaan row, he simply said, ” I don’t know what Sonu has said. I was travelling. I have known him for years and he is a very sweet person. Definitely, there has been a misunderstanding.” Well, the singer is unable to comment properly on this as apparently he is not aware of the entire controversy!
Well, apart from Adnan, Rangoon co-stars Saif Ali Khan and Kangana Ranaut also talked on the same! While Saif found it aggressive, Kangana called it thought provoking! Speaking to Indian Express, Saif also said, ” Don’t know who you are offending. At one level, I agree, the lesser sound the better. There should be certain decibel levels allowed across religious practices. I also understand the amplification of the sound during azaan comes from insecurity.” On the other hand, Kangana said, ” I like all the religious activities and I go to every religious places be it mosque, temple, gurudwara or in church. But this is my personal opinion. But It doesn’t mean that what he (Sonu Nigam) has said should not be considered. That’s his opinion and he should be respected for that. I think that’s the idea of bringing it to social media so that it can be discussed.” (ALSO READ: Sonu Nigam Azaan row: One man nearly KILLED for supporting the singer)
