A while ago we reported how filmmaker Sunil Singh had filed a petition in the Supreme Court seeking a probe into Sridevi’s death. The veteran actress died of accidental drowning on February 24 in her hotel room. SC was to hear Singh’s plea and according to the latest reports, the Supreme Court has dismissed the petition filed by Sunil Singh seeking probe in Sridevi’s death. Before going to SC, the filmmaker had filed a petition in the Delhi High Court. In his plea to the HC, Singh stated that Sridevi’s death was of national interest. Earlier after the formalities were completed and Sridevi was brought to Mumbai for her final journey, the spokesperson at the Ministry of External Affairs had ruled out foul play in the case. The spokesperson had said, “As far as I know, the paperwork from UAE govt were handed over to us and on the basis of that the mortal remains were brought to India. According to Sunil Singh who was reportedly in Dubai from February 20 – 26 for a holiday, there are a lot of things that aren’t told. Singh allegedly spoke to the hospital and hotel staff following the veteran actress’s death and he received information which is different from what has been reported so far.
