In sometime, Sridevi will be put to rest. The actress’s mortal remains were brought to Mumbai from Dubai last night after she passed away due to accidental drowning at a Dubai hotel on February 24. Sridevi’s mortal remains were kept at Celebration Sports Club in Lokhandwala near her home for people to pay their last respects. The venue has been flooded with fans, family members and celebs since morning. A while ago, the actress was taken from Lokhandwala towards Vile Parle Seva Samaj Crematorium and Hindu Cemetery as the last rites of Sridevi are scheduled to take place at 3:30 pm. Just before this, the actress was wrapped in a tricolour so that she could be cremated with state honours. The entire Kapoor and Ayyapan family paid last respect to Sridevi during her state honour. Sridevi was wrapped in the Indian flag and was accorded with state honours. The mortal remains of Sridevi were wrapped in red and golden Kanjeevaram saree and were kept in a glass casket. Since the actress was brought to Mumbai yesterday, we got to see a lot of celebs pay respect to her. One of the first ones to meet the Kapoor family last night was Salman Khan who was spotted outside the actress’s Lokhandwala home. Apart from him, since morning, right from Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Rekha, Sushmita Sen, Ajay Devgn, Kajol, Deepika Padukone, Sidharth Malhotra, Vidya Balan, John Abraham, Madhuri Dixit – Nene, Sanjay Leela Bhansali, a lot of B-townies made sure they met the actress one last time.
