Sridevi Had This to Say After Watching 25 Minutes Of Janhvi Kapoor's Debut Film, Dhadak

Sridevi‘s elder daughter, Janhvi Kapoor, is gearing up for her much awaited Bollywood debut, Dhadak, that is said to be the Hindi adaptation of the popular Marathi film, Sairat. Helmed by Shashank Khaitan and bankrolled by Karan Johar, the film will have her star opposite Shahid Kapoor’s half brother, Ishaan Khatter. The star kid recently shot for her first magazine cover ever, ie Vogue India magazine, where she spoke about her mentor KJo, her mother Sridevi, and her life since her unfortunate and sudden death. Apart from talking about the impact Sridevi’s death has had on her father Boney Kapoor, sister Khushi Kapoor and herself, Janhvi revealed what the late actress had to say about her debut film on watching 25 minutes of it.

The young budding actress was quoted as saying, “She was very technical about it. The first thing she told me was the things I needed to improve — she felt the mascara was smudged and it really bothered her. The second half has to be different, she told me… ‘You can’t wear anything on your face.’ That’s all she told me, but she was happy.” The iconic actress passed away on February 24, due to a case of accidental drowning in Dubai, where she extended her stay after attending her nephew, Mohit Marwah’s wedding. She was found dead in the bathtub of her hotel room.

Even though it’s heartbreaking to know that Sridevi won’t be around to see her darling daughter on screen anymore, she made sure that the young star to be, looked nothing short of perfect on screen. When KJo asked Janhvi if she feels a void in her life now that she doesn’t have her mother to seek advice from, Janhvi said, “Of course. I could always be the baby with her. When I’d wake up, the first thing I’d do was ask for her. I’d need her to put me to sleep sometimes and she literally had to feed me.”

She also revealed a heart wrenching incident a day before she left for the wedding in Dubai. “he day before she left for the wedding, I had to shoot, but I couldn’t sleep, so I was like, ‘I need you to come and put me to sleep.’ But she was packing, so by the time she came to me I was half asleep. But I could feel her patting my head,” she said. Well, as difficult as it may be for Janhvi to lead the rest of her life without having her dear mother around to go to, we’re sure she will do her proud with her debut film. What do you have to say?
