Mumbai, Feb 25:Sridevi‘s sudden demise has left her friends, co-stars and friends grief-stricken. Famous for her role in Sadma (1983), the actor, 54, died late on Saturday night due to cardiac arrest in Dubai, where she had gone to attend the wedding of her nephew Mohit Marwah. According to an Airports Authority of India source, a private jet is being flown to Dubai to carry the late actor’s mortal remains.
A report has quoted sources at the Indian Consulate in Dubai as saying that the Bollywood icon passed away in her hotel room at Emirates Towers at 11 pm (Dubai time) on Saturday. She was immediately rushed to Rashid Hospital in Dubai where she was declared brought dead.
Meanwhile, the air outside Sridevi’s residence is heavy with grief as fans of the veteran actor continue to queue up to catch one last glimpse of their ‘Chandni’.
Sridevi was known for her iconic roles in Hindi movies like Chandni, Lamhe, Mr India, Chaalbaaz, Nagina, Sadma, and many more. The Padma Shri awardee actress had also made a mark with her stellar performances in Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, Malayalam and Kannada films.
