Industry’s much-loved comedian Kapil Sharma has just added another feather to his ever-expanding cap, this time as a café owner. From delivering punchlines to plating pistachio cake, the funnyman has officially stepped into hospitality. Alongside his wife Ginni Chatrath, Kapil has launched The Kaps Cafe in Surrey, British Columbia, and it’s already causing a stir.
Inside The Kaps Cafe: A visual treat
If you thought his humour was tasteful, wait till you get a look at the interiors. Think cosy pinks, soft whites, and clean, modern furniture — a soothing, Instagrammable blend of elegance and comfort.
Whether it’s the velvet chairs, marbled counters, or muted lighting — the space is more Parisian brunch than punchline central. It’s not just about good coffee — it’s a mood.
The Kaps Cafe: What are the menu options?
The café serves up everything from lemon pistachio cake and buttery croissants to fudgy brownies and fresh brews a perfect blend of indulgence and comfort. And judging by the long queues on opening day, the crowd isn’t here just for the name.
In an Instagram story, the cafe team shared, “We’re so grateful for the amazing turnout!… Our cafe is currently very busy with a big line-up.”
Kapil isn’t quitting showbiz just yet. He continues to entertain global audiences with the latest season of The Great Indian Kapil Show on Netflix, with new episodes dropping every Saturday.
But this venture shows another side of him one that’s serious about design, experience, and aesthetics.
From stage to café, Sharma proves that comedy may be his calling, but creating warm spaces is his new passion and it comes frosted with a pistachio twist.
