The story picks up right where the first film left off. The village of Chanderi is now living in peace, protected by the “O Stree Raksha Karna” signs that keep the menacing ghost of Stree away. However, a new terror emerges in the form of Sarkata, a headless man who starts abducting the village’s girls and women. Unlike Stree, who targeted men, Sarkata goes after women who challenge societal norms and dare to think independently, making him a patriarchal symbol.

The film centers around Vicky (Rajkummar Rao) and his friends, Rudra (Pankaj Tripathi), Jana (Abhishek Banerjee), and Bittu (Aparshakti Khurana), as they try to save their village from this new menace. They are joined by a mysterious nameless girl (played by Shraddha Kapoor), who warns them that they only have a few days to stop Sarkata before it’s too late. The group quickly realises that the only one who can defeat Sarkata is Stree herself, setting up a thrilling and suspenseful race against time.

Strong First Half

The first half of Stree 2 is a masterclass in setting the stage for what’s to come. The introduction of Sarkata as the new villain is done with great flair, and the sequences featuring him are both spine-chilling and visually striking.
