Rajkummar Rao and Shraddha Kapoor starrer Stree is unstoppable. Along with receiving the positive response, the film is also performing well at the box office. It has minted Rs 6.55 crore on its sixth day and now the total collection stands at Rs 54.89 crore. The movie has already been declared a super hit. Taran took to micro-blogging site, Twitter, “Stree is SUPER-STRONG on Day 6… Wed biz is HIGHER than Tue and almost at par with Fri… Truly UNSTOPPABLE… Fri 6.83 cr, Sat 10.87 cr, Sun 14.57 cr, Mon 9.70 cr, Tue 6.37 cr, Wed 6.55 cr. Stree fought the box office battle with Yamla Pagla Deewana Phir Se and emerged as the winner. Shraddha was overwhelmed with the success of the film and said, “I have been reading all the messages about Stree from my close friends, family, and my lovely fans. The response is overwhelming, to say the least. I am extremely grateful to my director, producers, and writers for making me a part of this amazing film.”
The movie is based on a story of a witch, who visits a small town called Chanderi every year for four days during the big pooja festival to attack and abduct men. Along with Rajkummar and Shraddha, the film also featured Aparshakti Khurana and Abhishek Banerjee in pivotal roles.
