Actors Varun Dhawan and Anushka Sharma’s movie Sui Dhaaga – Made In India has registered a good box office collection on its first day. The movie was released on 2,500 screens across India on September 28, and is expected to do even better in the coming days depending on the audience it attracts. The film is about a young couple in rural India who start their own small-scale clothing business. Sui Dhaaga is not a typical Bollywood masala entertainer, and so the movie might not attract the masses. It has received mixed reviews from both the critics as well as the audience, with film trade analyst Taran Adarsh dubbing it as simple, emotional and humorous. Taran, who said that the movie had some incredible moments even though it was not perfect, tweeted that Sui Dhaaga had an ordinary start but picked up speed as the day progressed. He stated business for the film was slow on account of the finals of the Asia Cup 2018.

Sui Dhaaga‘s earnings are expected to increase on day 2 and day 3, and to go up even further from the evening of the fourth day on account of the next day being a holiday.

Sui Dhaaga – Made In India is a comedy-drama film directed by Sharat Katariya and produced by Maneesh Sharma under the banner of Yash Raj Films.
