Sultan leaked online: Has Salman Khan starrer fallen prey to this illegal cyber crime?

Reports of Salman Khan’s upcoming film Sultan being leaked online has been making rounds as the film releases today. YRF Films’ spokesperson has denied all the rumours but the cyber crime experts have confirmed the news. According to reports, an investigator from the cyber crime cell has revealed that the movie was leaked illegally across the internet. He also said that the Torrent version of the film will be available for download soon. However, in his quote, the investigator revealed that the leaked copy is not a full length film but a morphed copy of the film’s trailer. In another report, screenshots of Sultan’s full movie has been shared by a cyber crime sleuth. The reports also mentioned that the grabs have been taken from the film, which was illegally downloaded. This report was apparently shared with media houses to create awareness about the movie’s leak.

Recently, Riteish Deshmukh’s Great Grand Masti got leaked online three weeks before its theatrical release. The adult comedy’s censor copy is available for download on torrent sites.(ALSO READ: After Udta Punjab, censored copy of Great Grand Masti leaked online before its release!)

Last month, Shahid Kapoor’s most debated film Udta Punjab’s censor copy was leaked, raising suspicion on the Central Bureau of Film Certification (CBFC) for assisting the leaks. The makers of the film had approached the cyber crime cell to block the websites where the film is available for release.
