Super 30: Post Vikas Bahl’s Exit, Kabir Khan Steps in to Complete Hrithik Roshan’s Film?
Super 30 is all set to hit the screens on January 25.
Actor Hrithik Roshan’s upcoming film Super 30 landed in trouble after sexual harassment allegations on director Vikas Bahl. In the wake of #MeToo movement, the filmmaker was asked to leave the project. If a report in Bollywood Hungama is to be believed, director Kabir Khan has stepped in to complete the project. However, nothing official has been said on the same.
In the report, a source was quoted as saying, “It is not a small thing for any renowned director to step in at this last hour to complete a film. But Kabir, who is already working on another big biopic ’83 for the same producers (Phantom Films) saw the gravity of the situation. Super 30 has so far shaped up into a finely-honed biopic. To leave it unfinished would be doing disservice to the good work that Anand Kumar has been doing, and to the cause of aesthetic cinema as well.”
After a former employee of Phantom Films accused Vikas of sexual harassment, actress Kangana Ranaut also stated that the filmmaker used to misbehave with her on the sets of Queen. She said, “Every time we met, socially greeted and hugged each other, he (Bahl) would bury his face in my neck, hold me really tight and breathe in the smell of my hair. It took me great amount of strength and effort to pull myself out of his embrace. He’d say ‘I love how you smell.”
Hrithik reacted to allegations against the director and requested producers of Super 30 to take harsh actions. He tweeted, “It is impossible for me to work with any person if he/she is guilty of such grave misconduct. I am away and have access to only sporadic information. I have requested the producers of Super 30 to take stock of the apparent facts and take a harsh stand if need be. this is not to be hushed or brushed under the carpet. All proven offenders must be punished and all exploited people must be empowered and given strength to speak up.”

On a related note, Super 30 is all set to hit the screens on January 25. The movie will fight the box office battle with Kangana’s Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi.
