RIP Margot Kidder, the perfect Lois Lane. Being Superman is less cool than landing a sit-down interview with Superman.

Most people remember her as Lois Lane, but the essence of Margot Kidder to me is her salty, mischievous sorority sister in BLACK CHRISTMAS. She brought a little danger with her. pic.twitter.com/Stwur7OETm

So sad to hear about Margot Kidder’s passing, but so grateful for all she did in the mental health community. Her courage to be open and honest about her struggles is a testament to her character. ❤️https://t.co/KCTkGeW4q2

Sad to hear of the passing of #MargotKidder. Got to hang out with her a bit when directing Robson Arms, a special talent/Cdn legend. Rip

RIP Margot Kidder. One of my favorite movies of hers is the original Black Christmas. It introduced some elements that are now genre tropes and she’s fantastic in it.

On the personal front, the actress dated then-prime minister Pierre Trudeau in the 1980s. Kidder is survived by her daughter Maggie, who she had with her first husband, American novelist Thomas McGuane. After three years together, the actress divorced Thomas in 1976 and got married to ‘The Sopranos’ actor John Heard in 1979, which lasted only six days. Her third marriage was to the French director Philippe de Broca, from 1983-84. Speaking of funeral arrangements, they are still pending, according to Franzen-Davis Funeral Home and Crematory in Livingston, Montana. Watch this space for further updates.
