In an era where sci-fi movies are highly appreciated, David Corenswet’s new Superman teaser trailer has captured the hearts of fans and raised anticipation levels among netizens. The newly introduced Superman, played by David Corenswet, will navigate a universe filled with iconic DC Comics characters.
The teaser trailer begins with Superman being thrown into the snow, blood spilling from his mouth. When Krypto the Superdog approaches a wounded Superman, he says, “Take me home.”
The teaser trailer offers the first glimpse of David Corenswet as Superman’s bespectacled alter ego, Clark Kent, who is a reporter for Metropolis’s newspaper, The Daily Planet. Later, we see the much-awaited—and highly loved—pals of Superman: Lois Lane (Rachel Brosnahan) and Superman’s arch-nemesis, Lex Luthor (Nicholas Hoult), who appears as Kent’s colleague.
The makers also provide a glimpse of Skyler Gisondo as Daily Planet photographer Jimmy Olsen, as well as Pruitt Taylor Vince as Jonathan Kent, Clark’s adopted father. What follows in the teaser trailer is Superman’s journey from his beginnings in Smallville to becoming the messiah who saves the world.

Apart from Superman, James Gunn’s film also introduces other members of the DC Universe in the teaser trailer. However, the character that fans loved the most was Krypto, the Superdog.
As soon as the trailer premiered on YouTube and other social media platforms, fans flooded the comment sections with love and appreciation. One thing that stood out in numerous comments was the makers’ choice to use bright colour tones, which made James Gunn’s Superman film distinct from Zack Snyder’s Man of Steel.
Superman features David Corenswet in the titular role. The movie also stars Rachel Brosnahan, Nicholas Hoult, Edi Gathegi, Anthony Carrigan, Nathan Fillion, Isabela Merced, Skyler Gisondo, Sara Sampaio, María Gabriela de Faría, Wendell Pierce, Alan Tudyk, Pruitt Taylor Vince, and Neva Howell.
The movie is set to hit the big screens on July 11, 2025.
