“With the second season of the popular comedy TV Show, Khichdi, the Gujarati family is back on the small screen with its insane original cast including Anang Desai, Rajeev Mehta, Supriya Pathak, Vandana Pathak and JD Majethia. The show, that has interesting references to many Bollywood actors, paid a tribute to late actress Sridevi in one of the episodes last weekend. Reportedly, the episode was shot in November 2017, months before the veteran actress had passed away in Dubai. In a statement to the Times Of India, actor-producer JD Majethia, who also plays the character of Himanshu on the show, revealed that they were reluctant to air that part at first but later they felt that there is nothing derogatory about it and aired it as a tribute to Sridevi. Majethia added, “The episode had an interesting gag involving Sridevi. When she passed away in February, we were reluctant to air that part. However, we then felt that there was nothing derogatory about it and we were referring to her in a humour sequence, which actually will be our tribute to the legendary actress. She had once told us that she loved the first season of our show.” ALSO READ: Sanju First Look Poster Out: 6 Different Avatars Of Ranbir Kapoor As Sanjay Dutt Will Leave You Stunned – View Pic Also Read - IOA Chief Narinder Batra Asks For EC Approval For New Committees, Rajeev Mehta Objects

On the other hand, Supriya Pathak, who plays the character Hansa on the show, too, has a beautiful memory of the actress. Revealing an interesting story from the time she met the actress in a flight, she recalled, “Around three years ago, I met her on a flight and she literally made me talk like Hansa. It was embarrassing for a moment, but that just showed how much she loved the characters.” Watch this space for further updates.
