This morning, people woke up to the not so pleasant news of Reema Lagoo passing away. She was one of the finest actresses of Bollywood and television and her sudden death is a huge loss to the entire industry. The 59-year-old actress succumbed to cardiac arrest at the Kokilaben Ambani Hospital, Mumbai. Reema complained of chest pain late at night when she was taken to the hospital by her daughter and son-in-law. She breathed her last at 3:30 am.
Bollywood, TV and the Marathi industry mourned the loss of the actress. Her Naamkarann co-stars Viraf Patel and Gulfam Khan were heartbroken to hear the news of Reema’s death. But that’s how everyone who ever worked with Reema felt today. Supriya Pilgaonkar has worked with Reema Lagoo in the most popular show, Tu Tu Main Main. Supriya played Reema’s daughter-in-law in the series and their chemistry was simply incomparable. Supriya got quite emotional when she learnt the news of Reema’s death. ABP News got in touch with the Kuch Rang Pyaar Ke Aise Bhi actress and she said, “It was a heart sinking moment for me as we have worked together for a long time. Actors like Reema can never be forgotten. Reema Lagoo bagged the Best Actress Award in Comic Role category for ‘Tu Tu Main Main. She was also known for films like Maine Pyar Kiya, Hum Aapke Hain Kaun, Kuch Kuch Hota Hai and Vaastav. The late actress was known for playing a mother in numerous Bollywood films.
