Kollywood actor Suriya turned 40 today! Suriya was born as Sarvanana Sivakumar on July 23, 1975. The social media went abuzz with his birthday wishes. The hashtag #HappyBirthdaySURIYA was trending on Twitter. The super star has a huge fan base online, all his fans made sure to keep the day dedicated to the Singham star. Not only the fans but also his co stars  and well wishers from the film industry wished him on turning 40.

The Tamil film industry who is known to keep his personal life away  from the limelight celebrated the day with his family. Suriya is not much of an outspoken person, infact he did not have an official account on social networking platforms. It was very recently that he chose to start his official Twitter account.

 On his birthday he was seen cutting two cakes on his 40th. Accompanied by his wife Jyothika, Suriya looked ever so young and happy while cutting his birthday cake. Suriya was seen with Jyothika, but both the kids Diya and Dev were not spotted at the celebration pictures that were leaked online. Suriya tries hell bent ways when it comes to try something new for his movies. He goes out of his way to try and experiment with newness with every new movie that he sign.
