Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah fame Kavi Kumar Azad, who is remembered or playing Dr Hansraj Haathi in the popular Hindi sitcom, dies of a cardiac arrest today. Azad had been unwell for the past three days and was admitted to Wockhardt Hospital at Mira Road, Mumbai. He then went into a coma yesterday night and breathed his last this morning, as per reported by a leading entertainment daily. “We are very sad to inform the loss of our senior actor Kavi Kumar Azad. He was playing the character of Dr Hathi in ‘Taarak Mehta…’. We lost him to a massive cardiac arrest today morning,” Asit Kumarr Modi was quoted as saying in a statement to IANS.” He was an amazing actor and a very positive person. He truly loved the show and always came for the shoot even if he was not feeling well. He called today morning saying that he is not well and will not be able to come for shoot. The famous TV actor was also seen in a few films including Aamir Khan’s Mela and Funtoosh.
