Kunal Jaisingh’s Dil Bole Oberoi

The popular show Dil Bole Oberoi premiered on Star Plus, witnessed high voltage drama in just few days of its release and garnered good ratings, securing a spot in the top 15. It has made a place in the viewers’ heart within two weeks. The show kicks-off in the small city of Bareily, where Omkara (Kunal Jaisingh) visits the place to crack a deal. Gauri Sharma (played by Shrenu Parikh) is a young and beautiful girl on whom Kali Thakur (played by Rahul Dev) has set his eyes and will be paying a hefty amount to Gauri’s aunt to marry her. Kali’s first wife Jhanvi is not happy with the fact whereas Gauri is still unaware of the arrangement between her aunt and Kaali.
Karthika Nair’s Aarambh

The one-of-a-kind show Aarambh is a historical fantasy. It would be interesting to witness the epic war between Aryans and Dravidians in the show. This mythological TV show has been hogging headlines ever since its inception. It has roped in many known faces from Bollywood – starring the veteran actress Tanuja Mukerji, Roja fame Madhoo, South starlet Karthika Nair playing the female lead and Rajniesh Duggal in the male lead. Aarambh, written by Baahubali writer KV Vijayendra Prasad, is finite series that will have 100 episodes and is directed by the famous Goldie Behl. Karthika who is playing the role of Devsena, will be heading the Dravidian clan to rescue it from the ambush of the Aryans. In the battlefield she will meet Varundev (Rajniesh). Aarambh unfolds the story of the two warriors, who are fighting against each other for their respective clans, unaware of the fact that their fate has planned something else for them. With just two episodes of the show, it has already got the B-town actors like Hrithik Roshan, Abhishek Bachchan, Twinkle Khanna, Karan Johar, Dia Mirza, among others, talking only one thing on Twitter – Aarambh. Anjali Anand’s Dhai Kilo Prem

Balaji Telefilms (Ekta Kapoor) and Sandiip Sikcand’s Dhai Kilo Prem is considered to be one of the best shows that has been released in 2017. The show revolves around the life of an obese couple Piyush (Meherzan Mazda) and Deepika (Anjali Anand), whose journey promises loads of romance, comedy and drama. Piyush, who is an obese guy, dreams of marrying a slim and beautiful chic whereas Deepika, an obese girl, dreams of a prince who will love her unconditionally for what she is. She wants someone to accept her noticing how big her heart is rather noticing her oversized body. Dhai Kilo Prem is a story of the duo, who have dreamt of an ideal life partner but eventually find love in each other putting behind their physical attributes.
Tina Ann Philip’s Ek Aastha Aisi Bhee

Ek Aastha Aisi Bhee show is produced by Dheeraj Sarna and Ved Raj and has made the afternoons on TV brighter with its interesting plot and concept. The show is loved by its audience for the female lead’s unique personality. Her thought process and actions are different from others. Aastha will be played by a London girl (Tina Ann Philip), who does not believe in God but Karma, after she loses her father at an young age. The makers have created a fictional character (an atheist), who would not bow before God and is not a God-fearing person as shown in several TV shows, irrespective of the era we have been in. Well, the USP of Ek Aastha Aisi Bhi lies in the fact that the lead female in the show is an atheist and does not believe in worshiping a stone idol but believes in Karma and good deeds. The show has attracted its audience with this new concept.
Kritika Kamra’s Prem Ya Paheli – Chandrakanta

Prem Ya Paheli – Chandrakanta (a fantasy television show) which is based on Devaki Nandan Khatri’s popular novel – Chandrakanta, is one of the biggest ever blockbusters in the history of Indian Television. The show that is directed by Nikhil Sinha, stars Kritika Kamra and Gaurav Khanna in the lead roles. It’s a story of a King named Harshvardhan who possesses all the powers of the world and builds a tilism to store the powers and locks a Yaksha to secure them. But unfortunately, the King and his wife are attacked and killed by King of Chunargarh while performing a Yagna. After 100 years of this incident, the two are reborn as Princess Chandrakanta and Prince Virendra Singh. So the show is all about the two falling in love and rediscovering the Tilism and embracing the powers again.
