According to trade analyst Ramesh Bala, Kaala has crossed 100 crore gross at the box office worldwide. He also added that ladies, kids and family audience are flocking to watch this family entertainer this weekend. While talking about the box office numbers it is expected to clock on Sunday, Bala in a tweet mentioned, “Excellent Saturday yesterday at the Box office.. Not just US, Rajinikanth’s Kaala is doing exceptionally in Australia. Trade analyst Sreedhar Pillai had however maintained that the film will benefit from the controversy. While talking to PTI, he had said, “I think it will open good in Tamil Nadu because of the controversies surrounding the film. But I can’t pinpoint numbers at the moment. Although the advance booking was not very good, the state government’s special permission to conduct morning shows have helped. It is expected to do well since it is a Rajinikanth movie but it will not take a massive opening.”
