Tanmay Bhat has become a topic of discussion for the B-town, suddenly after sharing a snapchat video. The notorious comedian was trying to have fun using the app and made a ‘funny’ video. Tanmay was mimicking an imaginary conversation between the Master Blaster and the Nightingale of India. However, as expected a lot of people were upset and hurt with his jokes. The comedian was slammed on the social media and enraged fans of the celebrities filed a case against him too. However, amid the entire outburst, one person came in support of Tanmay. And it is none other than the fashionista of Bollywood, Sonam Kapoor. The leggy lass extended support for her friend on social media. She says, “Dear @thetanmay ,being your friend I know what you say and do is never to offend, but to make people laugh..”

She further went on to condemn the height of publicity the video was given by the media. The actress wants them to focus on more important issues than a video posted by Tanmay Bhatt. Sonam tweeted, “Don’t you guys think there are issues that are more important than @thetanmay snapchat jokes??? I’m in shock with this over reaction!”

Besides, she feels both Lata Mangeshkar & Sachin Tendulkar wouldn’t bother about whats going on in the news arena. Sonam further requested everyone to stop spewing hatred in the name of the two legendaries. It’s true, the reaction has only benefited Tanmay Bhat, who became little more popular overnight. This is not the first time Sonam had stood in support of the AIB group member. In the past, the team was caught in a similar controversy after passing sleazy comments over celebrities at the AIB Roast. When everyone chose to stay tight-lipped, this star kid boldly came out in support of her friend. Commendable, isn’t it?
