Sony Tv’s The Kapil Sharma Show is one of the most loved stand-up comedy shows of the small screen. However, in the last one month, things have turned very unfavourable for the show and Sunil Grover is to be blamed. The comedian left the show after an ugly spat with host Kapil Sharma mid-air on their return from a live show in Melbourne. Following his suit, Ali Asgar, Chandan Prabhakar and Sugandha Mishra also walked out of the show.

Since the incident, TRP of The Kapil Sharma Show has seen a major downfall as Sunil Grover’s fans have decided to boycott the show. The actor-comedian tried to persuade Sunil to return to the show but nothing worked in his favour. All his attempts to boost the rating of his Sony TV show has gone for a toss and the makers are hoping for some relief by roping in new talents. Following the mass exit, Raju Shrivastav and Ehsaan Qureshi came on board and adult star Monica Castelino is the latest one to join The Kapil Sharma Show’s cast. Additionally, the number of celebrity guests has also seen a major downfall and in the last few episodes we saw quite unpopular celebrities coming on board. During Kapil’s good times a number of A-List celebs used to come week-after-week to have fun and promote their films. But in the coming week, we will see the Half Girlfriend team coming on the sets of the show. Shraddha Kapoor and Arjun Kapoor are promoting their upcoming film with much enthusiasm off late. They have left no stones unturned to ensure their film remains in buzz. Shraddha and Arjun had a great blast with Kapil Sharma and Kiku Sharda. They had a blast on the comedy show. The actors were singing and dancing to the beats of their upcoming film’s songs. Shraddha Kapoor showed off her singing skills by crooning some songs from her next. The actress also shared a short video of her performance on her social media account. She sang Tum Hi Ho, the most popular song from her superhit film Aashiqui 2. Kapil Sharma joined her and gave her company as well.

Half Girlfriend is a movie adaptation of Chetan Bhagat’s film of the same name. Helmed by Mohit Suri, the film has been shot in varied locations; including Delhi, Patna, Dumraon, Varanasi, New York City and Cape Town. The romantic drama is expected to release on May 19, 2017.
